The city of Vancouver has a goal set for year 2020- to become the most green and eco-friendly city in the world. This means taking initiative for the environment and helping to save the wildlife. This goal is called the "Greenest City 2020 Action Plan." This plan mainly focuses on improving the conditions of carbon, waste, and ecosystems in Vancouver.  One step in this plan would be the new Seymour-Capilano Filtration Plant which helps remove waste by protecting the water quality. Another step would be to plant 150,000 trees by 2020. This will enhance air quality and maintain the ecosystem's plant population.
